ECONOMICS: Adjunct / Substitute Instructor POOL (college credit)

FLSA Status: Exempt (does not accrue overtime) Position Type: Adjunct Bargaining Unit: AFT/College Faculty Department: District Wide Position Overview Part‑time/temporary faculty positions offer flexible hours and the opportunity to assist a diverse group of adult students in achieving their educational goals. Assignments may include day, evening, weekend, and/or off‑campus classes. Candidates must live within commuting distance to San Diego. Major Responsibilities Teach lecture and lab classes according to curriculum and course outlines. Prepare and deliver instruction for all scheduled classes. Make yourself available to students outside of class time. Maintain accurate academic records and teach in a professional manner. Keep current knowledge in the subject matter areas. Create a learning environment that encourages discussion of ideas, interests and issues. Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree in Economics, or Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Master’s degree in Business, Business Administration, Business Management, Business Education, Finance, or Political Science. Regionally accredited degree(s). Demonstrated cultural competency and sensitivity to diverse student populations. California Community College Instructor Credential in Economics (valid for life) is preferred.
