Job Title

RN – Step Down (IMC/PCU/Stepdown)

Location

Atlanta, GA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 3×12-Hour Shifts | Expected 36 Hours/Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Step Down/PCU setting, monitoring and managing patients with complex cardiac and medical conditions
• Perform ongoing patient assessments and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
• Utilize NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) to assess and document neurological status as required
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate care appropriately

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 18 months of RN experience
• Strong cardiac PCU/Step Down experience required
• NIHSS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in an Intermediate Care or Progressive Care Unit (IMC/PCU) environment
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
