Job Overview Nondestructive Test (NDT) Inspector – Magnetic Particle at Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) in Ridley Park, PA. The role involves conducting non‑destructive testing on aerospace products using magnetic particle (MT) and liquid penetrant (PT) methods with digital and automated inspection systems in accordance with industry standards and regulations. Position Responsibilities Set up specialized non‑destructive test or measurement equipment. Develop procedures and processes for NDT activities. Perform tests or inspections and collect data. Document, analyze, and communicate results; assist with corrective action recommendations. Provide feedback on adverse trends. Approve repair acceptance to company products through NDT. Conduct certification preparation training and supervise trainees and LevelI NDT certified personnel. Communicate effectively both in writing and verbally. Basic Qualifications (Required) Current UAW Member. Boeing NDT certification and vision exam completion. Documented evidence of NDT education and/or OJT hours in MT for Boeing Level3 review. Strong understanding of relevant safety and health regulations, protocols, policies, and procedures. Ability to work in a radiation environment with exposure to radiation. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and perform required physical tasks (stand, stoop, bend, stretch). Preferred Qualifications (Desired) High school diploma or equivalent. Formal, documented hours of NDT training/experience or military equivalent. Current or previous (within last 2years) NDT certification in Magnetic Particle. Experience in Magnetic Particle Bench Method. Experience with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word). 1+ year of experience conducting aerospace inspection. Additional NDT certification in PT or ET. Work Environment & Safety Employees may be exposed to noise, dust, fumes, airborne particles, and smoke (not exceeding OSHA permissible exposure levels). The position requires work in a radiation environment. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided. The role is 100% onsite and requires the candidate to stand approximately 90% of the time. Certification & Compliance Meeting Export Control compliance; US Person required (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee). Mandatory Boeing NDT certification and vision exam. Shift / Location 1st shift. 100% onsite at Ridley Park, PA. Compensation & Benefits Hourly Pay Range: $37.24 – $50.00. This hourly position is governed by the UAW Collective Bargaining agreement.
