Preferred Background and Skills:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience working with elementary-aged students in special education (grades 3-5 preferred)
• Strong understanding of IEP development, instructional modifications, and behavioral strategies
• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to balance compliance and personalized instruction
• Dedication to fostering a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and ongoing academic, behavioral, and social support to SLS students in third through fifth grade
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized education plans (IEPs), tailoring instruction to meet student needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paras, and support staff to coordinate and deliver services
• Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and documentation consistent with district and legal requirements
• Communicate consistently and effectively with families regarding progress, achievements, and areas of growth
• Participate in IEP meetings and professional development offered throughout the school year

This full-time position runs Monday–Friday from 7:45AM to 4PM, supporting a dynamic team that values inclusion, respect, and the success of every student.
