Patient Service Representative (Dermatology)

Our dermatology practice is a female physician led micropractice founded to serve a diverse and dynamic patient population. Position: Medical Receptionist Location: Beverly Hills, CA Tuesdays & Wednesdays 8 am-5pm or 9am-6pm with opportunity for full time based on job performance Key Responsibilities include MOSTLY front office duties with opportunity for back office medical assisting. Responsibilities Patient Care: Greet patients with a warm and welcoming demeanor, ensuring a positive experience from check-in to departure. Liaison to VIP patients coordinating concierge visits. Scheduling: Efficiently manage appointments, coordinating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient flow. Complete pre-check in tasks with meticulous ATTENTION TO DETAIL and task completion in our EMR (Electronic Medical Record) - the practice use EMA/Modernizing Medicine as the EMR. Insurance Verification: Verify insurance (deductible and copay amounts). Collaborate with patients to verify insurance details and assist in processing claims. Discern the difference between PPO, HMO and Medicare. Answering high volume phone calls, responding to patient inquiries, scheduling patient appointments, collecting payments, insurance verifications Filing, faxing, emailing with patients and referring providers Team Collaboration: Work closely with medical staff to ensure smooth operations and exceptional patient care. BACK OFFICE RESPONSIBILITIES (as needed based on the needs of the practice/staffing): Rooming patients and assisting with procedures. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent Minimum of 6 months paid experience in a medical practice (dermatology preferred) Must be available to work until 5 pm two days per week with flexibility on occasion to work until 6 pm.
