Domicile Information This is a hybrid position located in Memphis TN, Plano TX, or Pittsburg PA. Candidates must live within 50 miles of the campus location. Employees will be required to work at the FedEx campus location several times per week. Essential Functions About the Role - Leads cross-functional and cross-opco teams through all phases of the project lifecycle to successfully deliver strategic business and technology initiatives. Responsible for managing enterprise projects from initiation through implementation, ensuring delivery on schedule, within budget, and aligned with business objectives. This role partners with technical and business stakeholders across FedEx Express to support operational initiatives, legacy system modernization, international deployments, and continuous process improvement while adhering to GPDE and Organizational Change Management (OCM) standards. Ability to train & mentor others on FedEx Express operational processes, legacy Express systems, dispatch operations, DSM platforms, Global Pickup & Delivery Ecosystem (GPDE), field operations, and international business processes. Coordinate business, technical, and operational teams supporting FedEx Express initiatives, including legacy Express platforms, dispatch operations, field operations, and international implementations. Lead multiple cross-functional and cross-opco projects through the complete project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, implementation, and project closeout. Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive project plans, schedules, milestones, resource allocations, budgets, and deliverables while ensuring alignment with approved project scope. Facilitate projects utilizing Project Management & Engineering methodology, Everest processes, and Organizational Change Management (OCM) standards. Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and develop Business Requirements Specifications (BRS) and FedEx Work Requests (FWRs) supporting operational and technology initiatives. Lead project governance activities including executive status reporting, issue management, scope control, change management, and stakeholder communications. Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, monitor dependencies, and proactively resolve issues impacting schedule, budget, or quality. Collaborate with internal customers, vendors, engineering teams, and operational leadership to ensure successful project execution and delivery. Manage project financials, resource planning, procurement activities, and vendor engagements while maintaining compliance with FedEx policies. Coordinate Organizational Change Management activities including communication planning, stakeholder readiness, user training, and implementation support. Track project performance using key metrics and quality standards while providing regular updates to Directors, Vice Presidents, and executive sponsors. Support global deployments and implementations across U.S., Canada, and international operating companies while collaborating with geographically dispersed teams. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying operational efficiencies, improving project processes, and implementing best practices across project delivery teams. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities MUST have knowledge of Legacy Express systems, DSM platforms, Global Pickup & Delivery Ecosystem (GPDE) Strong knowledge of enterprise Project Management methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models. Experience with Everest processes, Organizational Change Management (OCM), Business Requirements Specifications (BRS), and FedEx Work Requests (FWRs). Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional technical and business teams with minimal supervision while successfully managing competing priorities. Strong executive communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills with experience supporting Director and Vice President-level leadership. Experience managing project schedules, budgets, forecasts, risk registers, issue logs, resource planning, and vendor relationships. Ability to gather and analyze business requirements, facilitate solution discussions, and coordinate technical implementations across multiple organizations. Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Visio, Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, and other project management tools. Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives. Experience working with globally distributed teams supporting enterprise operational and technology initiatives. Familiarity with AI productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot or ChatGPT to improve project documentation, communication, and planning workflows is preferred. Job Conditions Some travel required, international and national. Minimum Education Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Science, Business, Finance, or related field required. In addition to minimum experience, high school diploma or GED and four (4) years of experience in a technical or professional position is accepted in lieu of degree. Minimum Experience Five (5) years experience required in a technical or professional environment with at least two (2) years of leading cross-functional projects. Business Summary Leads cross-functional and cross-opco teams of professionals through all phases of the project lifecycle. Manages and directs projects or initiative to ensure that project(s) are delivered on time, within budget and meeting or exceeding customer expectations. Manages either of the following: Single major initiative, defined as a project that is approved and prioritized on the FedEx Project Approval Committee portfolio or a strategic corporate initiative, or multiple projects of various sizes.
