Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to determine the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder.

• Collaborate with clients to develop tailored treatment plans, ensuring they align with individual goals and personal preferences.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to guide sessions effectively.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care strategies to foster a deeper understanding of their situation.

• Monitor and document client progress meticulously, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.

• Work closely with interdisciplinary teams consisting of psychiatrists and other health professionals to provide integrated care.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to continually enhance therapeutic methods.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in case discussions, team meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals experiencing mood disorders such as depression and anxiety, as well as contributing to the well-being of vulnerable groups, including victims of domestic abuse, refugees, and the homeless. By providing compassionate and tailored support, you will help clients navigate their challenges and improve their well-being.

Qualifications\n

• Current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.

• A master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy is essential.
