As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Zagro, you will work primarily in an outpatient office setting, with the flexibility to conduct sessions remotely. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions in clients' homes or group therapy sessions at our outpatient facility, helping to create a safe and supportive atmosphere for healing and personal growth.

• Implement evidence-based interventions to teach anger management, coping strategies, and social skills to reduce high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and aggression.
\n
• Assist youth and caregivers in enhancing their decision-making skills, which are crucial for addressing behavioral challenges in home environments.
\n
• Collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team and other interdisciplinary professionals to provide coordinated care and support to youth and families.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including intakes, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with our standards for quality care.
\n
• Engage in monthly team meetings, contributing insights and recommendations to optimize our therapeutic approaches and client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this position is on children aged 3 to 20 who are navigating the challenges associated with developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. You will work directly with these individuals and their families, helping them to understand and manage their unique circumstances, and promoting healthier relationships within the family unit.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field is required.
\n
• An active and unrestricted LMFT license to practice in the state of Nevada is mandatory.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, primarily during after-school hours (4 PM - 7 PM), with flexibility for weekend sessions being a plus.

• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for in-home therapy is essential.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is required.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in providing positive behavior support methodologies.
\n
• Prior work with children who have intellectual and developmental disabilities is highly preferred.

• Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and conducting in-home therapeutic interventions.
