Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, enabling flexibility in service provision while still offering in-person sessions at our outpatient facility. We hold monthly meetings to discuss case management and share best practices, ensuring a unified approach to care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on in-home settings to better engage clients and their families.

• Utilize evidence-based methodologies to address behavioral challenges, fostering skills such as anger management and coping strategies.
\n
• Work closely with youth and caregivers, providing guidance to improve decision-making and behavioral management at home.
\n
• Document therapy progress accurately and on time, including intake reports, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to company and legal standards.

• Collaborate consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and other relevant professionals to deliver integrated care.
\n
• Participate actively in ongoing training and supervision to continuously enhance therapeutic skills and methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with children and teens aged 3 to 20 who face developmental and intellectual challenges. Our clients often display high-risk behaviors, including self-injurious actions and aggression. As a therapist, you will devise intervention strategies tailored to each child’s unique needs, promoting their emotional and social development.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is essential.

• Possession of an active and unrestricted LMFT license.
\n
• Availability for 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours, preferably from 4-7 pm, with some flexibility for weekend sessions.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle are necessary for travel to in-home sessions.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working with children and adolescents, particularly those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

• Experience in providing positive behavior support in therapeutic or educational environments.

Compensation and Benefits\n
