Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual in-home therapy or group therapies via telehealth protocols in line with clinic standards and best practices.

• Empower clients by facilitating anger management and coping strategies, promoting improved social skills, and addressing high-risk behaviors, such as self-injury and physical aggression.

• Guide youth and their caretakers in developing effective decision-making skills to handle behavioral challenges encountered in the home environment.
\n
• Regularly collaborate with members of the Child Family Treatment Team and integrate with professionals from diverse disciplines to ensure comprehensive support for each youth and family.

• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of therapy sessions, treatment plans, and progress notes as required, adhering to clinic guidelines for submissions.

• Participate in monthly team meetings, providing insights and recommendations based on documented experiences and client progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily focus on clients aged 3-20 years with an emphasis on those experiencing developmental disabilities or significant intellectual challenges. This role not only demands therapeutic expertise but also cultural sensitivity, particularly in navigating diverse family systems and needs. Through your efforts, you will directly contribute to improving the quality of life for individuals and families undergoing significant stress or obstacles due to developmental or intellectual issues.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or another related field is required.

• Active, unrestricted LMFT license to practice in California.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours, specifically from 4-7 pm, with flexibility for weekends as needed.

• Experience in providing positive behavior support techniques effectively within clinical settings.

• Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for potential in-home sessions as required.

• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is mandatory.
