Adorable Healing Counseling is seeking a dedicated and flexible Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) who is bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese to join our team. This position is full-time and primarily remote, with some responsibilities taking place in our outpatient office in Fresno, California. Work Environment\n

This role offers a unique work setting blending remote flexibility and outpatient office activities. You will engage with clients primarily through virtual therapy sessions, allowing you to maintain a flexible schedule. However, you will also collaborate with the outpatient team in person for certain activities and meetings. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual in-home or group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to the unique needs of each client.

• Implement comprehensive therapeutic strategies to address anger management and to teach coping and social skills, ultimately aiding in the reduction of high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression.

• Collaborate closely with the Child and Family Treatment Team, as well as other professionals, to create an integrated approach to care for the child and their family.
\n
• Document all therapeutic sessions and related paperwork, including treatment plans and progress notes, within required timeframes to ensure compliance and facilitate quality care.

• Participate in monthly team meetings, providing necessary insights and recommendations to refine ongoing therapeutic processes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of your work will be on children and teens aged 3-20 with Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities. You will provide services that address complex behavioral challenges, ensuring a supportive and empowering environment for clients and their families. Your work will directly contribute to improving family dynamics and helping families navigate the intricacies of managing developmental challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 pm), with weekend availability being a significant plus.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in providing positive behavior support is highly desirable.
\n
• Prior experience working with children and adolescents, especially those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is preferred.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle are essential for transporting to client locations as needed.

• Must have the ability to pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
