Accounting Assistant at Shiel Sexton The Accounting Assistant position with Shiel Sexton is an entry level accounting position which requires proficiency in general accounting, a high level of detail, accuracy, and timeliness with strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritizing abilities. The successful candidate will have experience in accounts payable and process improvement. Please note sponsorship and/or relocation are not available for this position. Additional Responsibilities Accurate and timely routing of accounts payables Review and reconciliation of vendor statements Entry level accounts payable and expense report entry General support for project accounting team Using independent judgement and discretion to identify problems and making recommendations for solutions Skills / Qualifications 1-3 years experience in accounts payable Experience in ERP Accounting System (Vista Viewpoint preferred) Competencies Collaborative – desire to work with the team to improve and streamline processes Initiative – Ability to understand what tasks need to be completed without direction Communication – Able to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with internal and external teams Results driven – strong sense of urgency and comfortable working with deadlines Thoroughness – Ensuring that one’s work is complete and accurate Flexibility – Demonstrates openness to new organizational structures, procedures, and technology Team Champion – a champion for Shiel Sexton and the Project Accounting Team #J-18808-Ljbffr
