Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and family therapy sessions from the comfort of your home or within community settings, emphasizing personalized care tailored to each family's needs.

• Implement strategies focused on anger management, social skills, and coping mechanisms to mitigate high-risk behaviors, including self-injurious behavior and physical aggression.

• Guide families in enhancing their decision-making capabilities when addressing behavioral challenges, equipping them with effective tools for at-home management.

• Collaborate effectively with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals dedicated to the well-being of each child and their family, fostering a comprehensive support network.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatment plans, progress notes, and evaluations to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal protocols.

• Participate in ongoing meetings and offer constructive feedback for client care strategies, continually improving the quality of our therapeutic offerings.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily serve children and adolescents aged 3 to 20 years who experience developmental and intellectual disabilities. Your expertise will be crucial in providing therapeutic interventions designed to enhance their quality of life, improve family dynamics, and promote positive behavioral patterns. Additionally, bilingual skills in Spanish or Portuguese are highly valuable, as they enable you to reach and support a broader spectrum of families within our community.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• Possession of a valid and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license is essential.

• A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle for client transportation may be necessary for community-based sessions.

• Successful completion of a comprehensive criminal background check is mandatory.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with children aged 3-20 years, particularly those with intellectual or developmental impairments.

Compensation and Benefits\n
