Associate Director, Study Manager - Atherosclerosis and Metabolism

Associate Director role leading operational planning and execution of clinical trials in metabolic disease. Reports to senior management while building and coaching teams across global, cross-functional clinical development programs.
Responsibilities
- Lead operational planning, feasibility assessment, and execution of clinical trials as Clinical Trial Team lead
- Direct key study planning and development activities including operational reviews, issue escalation, and senior management presentations
- Facilitate collaboration between internal teams, subsidiary country teams, vendors, and external stakeholders to support trial objectives
- Develop and review clinical operations input for protocols and other regulatory documents
- Coach and mentor junior team members; manage direct and indirect reports including resource allocation and performance management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree plus 9+ years in pharmaceutical, clinical drug development, or project management; or Master's degree plus 6+ years; or PhD/PharmD plus 2+ years
- Strong knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and International Council for Harmonisation (ICH) regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and delegate effectively in matrix environments
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with strategic leadership orientation
- Proven ability to influence and align key internal and external stakeholders across functional areas
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Life sciences degree preferred
Compensation: $142,400–$224,100 base
