Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that are tailored to the unique needs, preferences, and goals of each client, ensuring a collaborative approach to care.

• Utilize evidence-based interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to provide effective treatment.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies to empower them in their recovery journey.
\n
• Monitor and track client progress while adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on their evolving needs.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care tailored to the needs of each individual.

• Stay informed about the latest research on mood disorders and emerging treatment methodologies to enhance therapeutic strategies.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation according to legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development sessions to stay connected and engaged with best practices in mental health.

• Advocate for clients’ needs and work against mental health stigma to ensure equitable access to care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position focuses primarily on individuals experiencing a range of mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Our client population also includes vulnerable groups such as refugees, domestic violence victims, and individuals facing homelessness. Your role will be critical in providing therapeutic support that addresses both their emotional health and unique life circumstances.

Qualifications\n

• An active and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
