Work Environment

This full-time position is based onsite at our rehabilitation facility in Fairfax, Virginia, where you'll work closely with a collaborative and supportive team. The work environment is designed to optimize patient care and staff engagement, providing the resources necessary for you to thrive. You will generally work Mondays through Thursdays from 3 PM to 7 PM, alongside a flexible four-hour shift on Fridays.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough screenings, evaluations, and diagnoses of patients using advanced physical therapy techniques and modalities, ensuring compliance with best practices.
• Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs, integrating both subjective and objective assessments.
• Provide education and support to patients and their caregivers, empowering them to actively participate in their rehabilitation process.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress in accordance with regulatory and departmental standards.
• Supervise the work of physical therapy assistants, aides, and interns, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality care.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives by analyzing clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction metrics.
• Participate in program development and marketing efforts to expand our physical therapy services and referral base.
• Engage in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with advancements in physical therapy practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to provide care to a broad spectrum of patient populations, including neonates, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. You will apply your clinical expertise to address various conditions and disabilities, ensuring that each patient receives optimal treatment aligned with their individual goals. Your role will significantly influence their recovery trajectory, enhancing their functional abilities and overall well-being.

Qualifications

• A current state Physical Therapist license.
• A Bachelor's, Master's, or DPT degree from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Two years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
• Strong foundation in physical therapy practices with a focus on patient-centered care.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, walking, and squatting, ensuring the necessary mobility to assist patients effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with the specific patient demographics presented at our facility.
• Background in rehabilitation services related to outpatient therapy.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and patient billing processes.

Compensation and Benefits
