Qualifications:

• Active Virginia Occupational Therapist license required
• Previous experience working in pediatric or school settings preferred
• Familiarity with IEP processes and school-based documentation
• Ability to collaborate with educators, support staff, and caregivers
• Readiness to complete a VA Department of Social Services background check promptly
• TB test required per state regulations
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy interventions for students as outlined in IEPs, once caseload details are finalized
• Work closely with special education staff to support students’ access to curriculum
• Assess student needs and create goal-oriented treatment plans
• Maintain thorough documentation of therapy sessions and student progress
• Serve as a resource for teachers, administrators, and families
