Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting students as a school-based Occupational Therapist near Woodbridge, VA—conveniently located about 45 minutes south of Washington, DC. This part-time position aligns with the academic year, running from August 3, 2026, through May 26, 2027. Hours and assigned campuses will be determined collaboratively as the program needs are finalized.

Bring your expertise in providing tailored OT services within a school setting, collaborating with educators and families to promote student success. Your contributions will be instrumental in launching and shaping this new role, as the district gains experience with contracted occupational therapy services.

Key Qualifications:

• Current and active Virginia Occupational Therapist (OT) license
• Previous experience in a school-based OT setting is strongly preferred
• Ability to adapt to evolving caseloads and requirements as details are developed
• Preparedness to begin the Virginia Department of Social Services background check promptly
• TB test required per state guidelines
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills

Anticipated Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy interventions and assessments tailored to individual student needs
• Work with students across a range of ages to support their educational and developmental goals
• Consult and cooperate with teachers, staff, and families to create supportive learning environments
• Maintain flexible scheduling as specific assignments and caseload numbers are clarified
• Adhere to documentation standards and state/district policies
