Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments to document clients' mental health status, including behavioral, emotional, and cognitive evaluations.

• Develop comprehensive intervention and recovery plans tailored to the needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring these plans reflect current best practices.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing therapeutic modalities that align with client goals and enhance recovery.

• Monitor and document client progress through regular reviews and adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.

• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nursing staff, to coordinate and enhance client care.

• Manage referrals when appropriate, ensuring a seamless transition to additional therapeutic resources or specialized care.

• Engage with family members and primary caregivers, providing strategies and support to navigate mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The individuals you will serve range across various demographics, each presenting unique mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use issues. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems, particularly with AVATAR or similar platforms.

• Solid understanding of prevailing treatment modalities and evidence-based practices within the field of mental health counseling.

• Demonstrated experience in a mental health counseling role, showcasing the ability to handle complex casework and clinical situations.

• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) standards and best practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n
