Key Responsibilities\n

• Deliver immediate drop-in crisis counseling to students and clients experiencing distressful situations, performing crisis interventions and assessments as necessary to ensure their safety and well-being.

• Evaluate and respond to mental health referrals submitted through our electronic system, Maxient, ensuring timely updates and maintaining accurate, confidential patient records in line with applicable laws and regulations.

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, providing both individual and group counseling services tailored to address a variety of health-related concerns, including anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders.

• Facilitate educational workshops and outreach initiatives aimed at promoting mental wellness among students, faculty, and staff, enhancing their understanding of mental health issues and available resources.

• Collaborate with faculty and staff in consulting on mental health best practices, offering guidance and support in managing psychological issues within the academic community.

• Develop and implement wellness programs and retention strategies that enhance student support systems, assisting individuals in achieving their academic and personal goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with students and young adults who may be experiencing mental health challenges common in educational environments. Qualifications\n

• Active licensure as an LCSW, LPC, LCPC, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of California is required, as associates' licenses are not billable through Medicare.

• The compensation for full-time positions ranges from USD 80,000 to 122,000 annually, while part-time opportunities typically offer between USD 50,000 and 70,000 yearly.
