Staff Accountant | Atrium The Tone: This is a full-time role with Atrium, placed at their client, a prominent full-service property management company. This client specializes in managing diverse properties and community associations, providing comprehensive services to maintain and enhance the value of residential and commercial communities. The Staff Accountant role is vital for supporting the client's complex financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely accounting processes within a demanding, high-volume environment. This position plays a key role in maintaining the financial health and reporting integrity for a significant portfolio of community association accounts, directly impacting operational efficiency and transparency. The TL;DR Role: Early Career Type: Full-time Location: In-person Pay: $55000-$65000 yearly Team: Reports to the Senior Accounting Manager Mission: Support full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of community association accounts by maintaining accurate financials and ensuring timely monthly reporting using the accrual method of accounting. Tech Stack: CINC software, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel What You’ll Actually Do Financial Reporting: Maintain the general ledger with precision, prepare essential journal entries, and produce comprehensive monthly financial statements for assigned association accounts. Transaction Management: Accurately post various income transactions including assessments, capital contributions, and other associated fees for community accounts, ensuring all payments are recorded correctly. Account Reconciliation: Proactively manage vendor accounts by verifying transactions, reconciling monthly statements against internal records, and ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments and check preparation. Invoicing & Collections: Oversee the preparation of monthly invoices and statements, apply interest or late fees to delinquent accounts as necessary, and execute soft collections to recover outstanding balances efficiently. Audit & Compliance: Serve as a key support for external auditors by providing appropriate documentation, necessary financial reports, and facilitating any required adjustments, while also verifying vendor documentation such as Certificates of Liability and W-9 forms. The Must-Haves Background: An Associate’s degree in Accounting is a required minimum, or the equivalent in practical, relevant experience, demonstrating a solid foundational understanding of core accounting principles and practices. Experience: Proven capability in applying the accrual method of accounting, direct experience with the preparation of monthly financial statements, and mandatory proficiency in utilizing CINC accounting software. Skills: Excellent computer proficiency, encompassing strong command of Microsoft Word for documentation and Microsoft Excel for data analysis; thorough knowledge of managing prepaid schedules and payables; demonstrated attention to detail, thoroughness in all tasks, strong time management abilities, and effective vendor relationship management. Bonus: Prior experience specifically within community association or property management accounting, and a demonstrated ability to consistently perform effectively in a high-volume accounting environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
