Wauwatosa Veterinary Clinic is Hiring an Experienced Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician! Role: Experienced Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician Status: Full-time Salary: Negotiable based on experience Schedule: Four days per week, including at least two evenings until 6:30 PM and two Saturday mornings per month. No Sundays, overnights, or major holidays. Benefits Highlights Competitive pay 401(k) matching Continuing education support and reimbursement Employee pet discounts Health insurance coverage Paid time off and holidays Work‑life balance with no overnights, Sundays, or major holidays What You'll Do Assist veterinarians during appointments, treatments, and procedures Provide compassionate nursing care and patient support Perform venipuncture and sample collection Process laboratory work and diagnostic testing Fill and prepare pharmacy prescriptions Obtain high‑quality diagnostic radiographs Assist with surgical and dental procedures Educate clients about treatment plans, medications, and preventative care Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation Support efficient hospital workflow and outstanding client service Qualifications Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant or Certified Veterinary Technician Strong communication and customer service skills Positive attitude with a desire to continue learning and growing Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment Passion for patient care and client education Surgery and dental experience preferred Leadership skills and a proactive approach to patient care Join Our Team!
