Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist with Summit Physical Therapy Inc., your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments of patients to determine their physical therapy requirements and progress.
• Developing tailored treatment plans based on evidence-based practices, patient goals, and clinical guidelines.
• Administering hands-on therapy, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and use of modalities to treat musculoskeletal conditions.
• Monitoring and meticulously documenting patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal recovery.
• Educating patients and their families on home exercise plans, injury prevention strategies, and lifestyle modifications to sustain long-term health.
• Keeping current with advancements in orthopedic physical therapy and integrating new techniques into treatment protocols.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses primarily on orthopedic patients, including individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Your expertise will allow you to assess and treat a diverse patient demographic, ranging from young athletes to older adults. Building rapport and tailoring communication to suit the unique needs of each patient is vital, as many may be experiencing emotional distress related to their injuries or recovery processes.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy. A Master's degree is strongly preferred.
• A current Physical Therapist license valid in the state of New Jersey.
• At least three years of clinical experience in physical therapy, with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• The ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
