We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Physical Therapist to join our skilled team at Prestige Behavioral Wellness Center in Buffalo, New York. As part of our rehabilitation facility, you will be essential in helping patients achieve their personal best in mobility and functional independence. Our team consists of experienced professionals, including two physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA), all dedicated to delivering high-quality, evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

Work Environment

The position is full-time, primarily operating onsite within our comprehensive rehabilitation facility in Buffalo, NY. With a focus on patient-centered care, you will work Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. The collaborative atmosphere fosters continuous learning and professional development as you partner with colleagues to optimize patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to identify their limitations and establish therapeutic goals.
• Manage a manageable patient caseload of one patient per hour, providing focused and efficient treatment.
• Design individualized care plans that integrate diverse therapeutic techniques tailored to meet specific patient needs.
• Utilize evidence-based treatment modalities to enhance patient mobility and restore function, employing a variety of manual therapy techniques.
• Implement structured fitness and wellness programs that emphasize strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Continuously monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed, and documenting care provided using electronic medical record (EMR) software.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive and comprehensive patient care.
• Encourage patients throughout their rehabilitation journey to instill motivation and a commitment to achieving their health goals.
• Conduct regular assessments to evaluate patient outcomes, utilizing feedback to inform and improve practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on patients with orthopedic needs, many of whom are covered by private medical insurance. You will be working closely with individuals seeking rehabilitation following surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions, all aiming to regain their strength and mobility. Your ability to provide compassionate care will play a crucial role in enhancing their overall well-being.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in Buffalo, NY, with a clean record free from board actions or disciplinary measures.
• Strong foundation in manual therapy techniques and methods.
• Proficient in developing comprehensive exercise regimens suitable for varying levels of patient strength and ability.
• Competency in utilizing EMR software, specifically WebPT, to streamline patient documentation and facilitate communication.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Skills in assessing and treating sports-related injuries, contributing to the wellness and performance of athletic patients.
• History of effective patient engagement strategies that promote adherence to treatment plans.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
