Sales Account Manager

The Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships to generate sales opportunities for the company's industrial AC/DC motor repair, field service, and related electrical/mechanical services. This position serves as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts while actively pursuing new business opportunities within industrial, manufacturing, municipal, utility, and commercial markets. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated sales professional capable of building long-term customer partnerships, identifying customer needs, and promoting solutions that support reliability, uptime, and operational efficiency. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers to increase sales and customer retention. Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, cold calling, site visits, and referrals. Promote the company's motor repair, generator repair, pump repair, field service, machining, balancing, predictive maintenance, and related services. Conduct regular customer visits to understand operational needs and identify service opportunities. Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and quotations. Coordinate with internal operations and service teams to ensure customer requirements are met. Follow up on quotations and service proposals to secure orders. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and sales activities within the company. Monitor market conditions, customer trends, and competitor activities. Assist with contract negotiations and customer agreements. Attend industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings as required. Achieve established sales goals, revenue targets, and business development objectives. Provide exceptional customer service before, during, and after project completion. Qualifications Education & Experience Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field preferred. Minimum of 3 years of outside sales, account management, or industrial business development experience preferred. Experience in electric motor repair, rotating equipment, industrial maintenance, electrical services, manufacturing, or related industries is highly desirable. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong understanding of industrial maintenance and rotating equipment markets preferred. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to establish credibility and build relationships with maintenance managers, plant managers, reliability engineers, and purchasing personnel. Strong negotiation and closing skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. Effective time management and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software. Ability to read and understand technical information and service quotations. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Physical Requirements Frequent travel within assigned territory. Ability to walk through industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, and job sites. Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to work in industrial environments while following all safety requirements. Competitive base salary plus commission/incentive program. Vehicle allowance or company vehicle (if applicable).
