Accounting Manager
Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $110,000 to $135,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including financial reporting, reconciliations, accruals, and general ledger activities.
- Lead month end, quarter end, and year end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Analyze financial results, identify trends and variances, and provide insights to support business decisions.
- Manage accounting staff and support vendor payment processes, expense reporting activities, and operational accounting functions.
- Drive process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and support special projects, tax filings, and cross functional initiatives.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience managing accounting operations, financial reporting, and close processes within a large or complex business environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, revenue recognition, fixed assets, lease accounting, and financial controls.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
- Must be located within commuting distance of the work location.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to develop, mentor, and manage accounting teams.
- Previous experience with project costing, asset intensive operations, equipment accounting, or similar accounting environments.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Prior experience implementing process improvements, system enhancements, and accounting automation initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and leadership levels.
