Job Description Position Overview San Antonio Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. In this role, you will help clients address and overcome a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and substance use disorders. Work Environment This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in your work schedule while maintaining a professional and productive virtual work atmosphere. Our team embraces technology and utilizes advanced electronic health record (EHR) systems to manage patient documentation and care efficiently. Despite the remote setting, teamwork and communication remain paramount, as you will regularly collaborate with fellow mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough mental health assessments to effectively identify each patient’s unique needs and develop tailored, evidence-based treatment plans. Utilize various therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to deliver individual, couples, and family therapy sessions. Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and support groups aiming to foster community, share experiences, and educate clients about mental health. Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care and discuss treatment options. Provide crisis intervention services, equipping patients with immediate support during times of acute mental health challenges. Educate patients about their mental health conditions, available treatment options, and accessible community resources that could assist in their recovery journey. Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation to comply with legal and ethical guidelines while ensuring high standards of patient privacy. Engage actively in case consultations and team meetings, contributing insights that enhance our therapeutic practices and organizational objectives. Stay abreast of the latest research and innovations in the field of mental health therapy skills to continually improve therapeutic practices. Patient Population / Client Focus Our clientele includes a diverse range of individuals from various backgrounds facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), substance abuse, and other mental health issues. As a therapist, you will be entrusted with fostering a safe and supportive environment for each patient, guiding them through their therapeutic journey with care and respect for their individual circumstances. Qualifications A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Clinical Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California. Demonstrated proficiency in conducting mental health assessments and developing effective treatment strategies tailored to individual patients. Proficient knowledge of mental health disorders and the application of evidence-based treatment modalities in therapeutic contexts. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and maintain professional relationships with patients and colleagues alike. Commitment to maintaining ethical standards and professional boundaries in all aspects of client interactions. Familiarity with EHR systems and adeptness in using computer applications for documentation and communication. Preferred Experience Prior experience in delivering individual and group therapy to varied patient populations, ideally within a community-based setting. Experience in crisis intervention and managing acute mental health situations. Participation in interdisciplinary teams that enhance comprehensive patient services. Compensation and Benefits We offer an attractive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
