Work Environment

This LCSW position is unique in that you will be working within a school environment, providing essential mental health support to students. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments for students, synthesizing information to identify mental health concerns, strengths, and available resources.
• Provide tailored individual, family, and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and trauma-focused therapy.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that encapsulate specific goals, interventions, and strategies to support each student’s mental health journey.
• Collaborate closely with educational staff and other professionals to develop and execute client-centered treatment plans, ensuring that the mental health needs of students are effectively integrated into their educational framework.
• Engage in crisis intervention and risk assessment activities, performing safety planning in collaboration with families and other stakeholders as necessary.
• Provide psychoeducation within group therapy settings, equipping students with the skills and knowledge to manage their mental health effectively.
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation of therapy sessions in accordance with professional and legal standards, ensuring confidentiality and ethical compliance.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with school-aged children and adolescents who may face a diverse range of mental health challenges. These clients may include those experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and other emotional or behavioral issues that hinder their educational success. Your role will be crucial in helping them navigate these challenges, ultimately contributing to their academic performance and personal development.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
• Current and active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Proven experience of at least two years in a mental health or outpatient setting, preferably within a school context.
• Strong foundation in evidence-based therapeutic approaches with the ability to apply these methods to specific student needs.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and assessment skills, essential for establishing rapport with students and collaborating with educational staff.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this full-time position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, reflective of experience and qualifications.
