Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and family therapy sessions focusing on behavioral health, emotional well-being, and developmental progress.

• Provide intensive in-community therapy support to children facing developmental disabilities and cognitive challenges, helping them navigate social skills and emotional regulation.

• Utilize evidence-based practices to develop personalized treatment plans aimed at addressing high-risk behaviors such as self-injury and aggression, while fostering coping strategies and anger management techniques.

• Work collaboratively with the Child Family Treatment Team, coordinating care with other specialists to enhance treatment efficacy and ensure the best outcomes for our clients.

• Ensure timely and precise documentation of sessions, including intake assessments, progress notes, and treatment updates in accordance with regulatory requirements.

• Participate in monthly team meetings, staying informed about departmental goals and contributing recommendations based on clinical observations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is on children and adolescents aged 3 to 20 who are experiencing a range of emotional and behavioral challenges, particularly those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). You will have the chance to work with children from diverse backgrounds, providing tailored therapeutic interventions that make a profound impact on their life trajectories and family dynamics.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field is required.

• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license in Pennsylvania is essential.

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is highly desired to better serve our diverse clientele.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for travel as needed.

• A clear criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is mandatory before commencement of employment.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience providing positive behavior support and therapeutic interventions to children with I/DD.

• Prior work experience with children and adolescents across a spectrum of ages, particularly in managing complex behavioral issues.

• Availability to provide services for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, primarily during after-school hours (4-7 PM); weekend availability is a significant plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n
