Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual in-home therapy sessions or facilitate group therapy sessions at our outpatient center, focusing on enhancing the emotional well-being of children and their families.

• Implement targeted interventions aimed at improving anger management, coping strategies, and social skills while addressing high-risk behaviors such as self-injury and physical aggression.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary professionals, including the Child Family Treatment Team, to create an integrated support system for each family.
\n
• Prepare and submit essential documentation, such as intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, in compliance with established timelines.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings to discuss case progress and provide insights and recommendations based on your observations.
\n

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary client focus includes children ages 3-20 with various developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. Many of these children encounter difficulties in their home and school environments, and our role is to provide the support essential for overcoming these challenges. Your therapeutic efforts will directly contribute to improved decision-making and behavior management among youth and their caregivers.

Qualifications\n

• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license is required.
\n
• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a closely related field.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during the hours of 4 PM to 7 PM, with additional weekend availability considered a plus.
\n
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and have access to a registered vehicle for home visits.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is mandatory.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Proven experience in delivering positive behavior support strategies with children.

• Prior experience working directly with children diagnosed with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD) is strongly preferred.

• Familiarity with community resources and behavioral health systems enhances your ability to serve this population effectively.

Compensation and Benefits\n
