Exciting Opportunity: ServiceNow HAM Developer - EITaaS (Remote, Secret Clearance Required)


Are you a seasoned ServiceNow developer with a passion for asset management and a talent for delivering impactful solutions? Join our dynamic team as a ServiceNow HAM (Hardware Asset Management) Developer and be at the forefront of optimizing hardware asset lifecycles within a cutting-edge, fully remote environment. This is a senior-level, long-term contract opportunity supporting critical government infrastructure with immediate start dates.


What You'll Do:

• Design, develop, customize, and implement ServiceNow HAM modules, workflows, and integrations to streamline hardware asset processes.
• Manage asset lifecycle activities including procurement, deployment, refresh, and disposal, ensuring data accuracy and process efficiency.
• Develop intuitive Service Portal components for self-service asset requests, tracking, and reporting.
• Maintain and enhance CMDB integrity for all hardware assets and CI relationships.
• Build and sustain integrations with external systems, inventory databases, and discovery tools using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Servers, JSON, and XML.
• Support ongoing system health, perform upgrades, and ensure adherence to best practices and security standards.
• Collaborate closely with a large, cross-functional team of analysts, architects, and fellow developers operating in agile, sprint-based cycles.

Required Skills:

• Proven hands-on ServiceNow platform development experience (JavaScript, UI Policies, Client Scripts, Business Rules, Flow Designer, Workflows).
• Direct experience with ServiceNow HAM modules and asset lifecycle management.
• Extensive experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs, MID Servers, and data sources.
• Deep understanding of IT Asset Management principles, hardware lifecycle processes, and discovery methods.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting skills, and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting supporting EST/CST hours.
• Active Secret clearance; Interim Secret acceptable for start.

Nice to Have Skills:

• ServiceNow Certifications such as CSA, CIS-ITSM, or CIS-ITAM.
• Agile/Scrum experience and familiarity with 3-week sprint cycles.
• ServiceNow modules like Discovery and Service Mapping.

Preferred Education & Experience:

• 12+ years of relevant industry experience; Bachelor's degree in a related field can substitute for a portion of experience.
• Proven expertise in ServiceNow development, especially within HAM and/or SAM environments.
• Past success deploying and configuring ServiceNow Asset Management solutions in large organizations.

Other Requirements:

• Must be eligible for a Secret Security Clearance (Interim acceptable to start).
• Fully remote work with support during EST/CST business hours.
• Ability to adapt quickly and contribute immediately in a fast-paced team environment.
