Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews and assessments, meticulously documenting client histories from the first meeting through to treatment conclusion.

• Evaluate the mental, emotional, and behavioral health of clients, using diagnostic tools and collaboration to establish accurate diagnoses.
\n
• Design tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring client-centric approaches that respect diverse backgrounds and needs.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic techniques and strategies to promote healing and progress.
\n
• Continuously monitor and assess client progress against their treatment plans, making necessary adjustments in collaboration with clients and other health professionals as required.
\n
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of social workers, psychologists, nurses, and medical doctors to coordinate holistic care for clients.
\n
• Follow up with psychiatrists and attending physicians regarding any clients admitted for hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement proactive strategies to mitigate behaviors that may hinder a client's mental health journey.

• Provide guidance and resources for family members and primary caregivers to navigate and manage mental health challenges effectively.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
\n
• Successful completion of the NCE and/or NCMHCE examinations.
\n
• Demonstrated proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR or similar platforms.
\n
• Strong foundation in the principles of mental health counseling, evidenced by prior experience in the field.

Preferred Experience\n

• Familiarity with the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Experience managing clients with co-occurring physical health conditions and addiction disorders.

• Comprehensive understanding of medication effects and implications as prescribed by other medical professionals.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills that foster rapport, trust, and effective collaboration.
