Temporary Payroll Specialist

Our client, a well known nonprofit organization, is seeking an experienced Payroll Accountant to take ownership of payroll as the organization separates its Payroll and HR functions. This is an opportunity to join a mission driven organization where the work is deeply rewarding and employees feel a strong connection to the organization's purpose. The team is supportive, collaborative, and tight knit, with coworkers who genuinely enjoy working together.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full payroll process accurately and on schedule
- Handle payroll reporting, reconciliations, and related accounting responsibilities
- Partner with HR and Accounting as payroll responsibilities transition into a separate function
- Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee questions
- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance
Requirements:
- Previous payroll and payroll accounting experience
- Experience with BeyondPay required
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to independently manage payroll
- Collaborative personality and strong communication skills
