In this role, you will provide support to our office employees, ensuring they have all the information and resources they need to perform their best. Your responsibilities will include answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, planning meetings, and writing correspondence. The ideal candidate is highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills and a friendly demeanor. Job description/Duties: Answer phones and greet clients that come into the office Tax preparation including 1099 and 1040 Tax planning Corporate, Estate and Trust tax preparation experience a plus Organize and scan tax documents Print and assemble tax returns Client wrap-up meetings Prepare invoices Maintain accurate logbook of tax work in progress Follow flow of tax returns to monitor completeness Client accounting using multiple versions of QuickBooks Prepare financial statements in Excel Prepare payroll for clients on their normal schedule Track and calculate adjustments to payroll additions and deductions Assist with preparing payroll tax returns and W-2’s Assist with preparing sales tax returns Monitor office supplies and place re-order as needed QuickBooks, Microsoft 365, and Drake Tax experience a plus QuickBooks certification a plus Canopy client management software experience a plus Enrolled Agent or CPA a plus Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn Strong communication skills
