Key Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, plus either two years of post-secondary coursework, an Associate’s Degree, or completion of the ParaEducator test
• Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL)
• 1-2 years’ experience working with children with disabilities preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Patient, compassionate, and committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct ASL interpretation and support to students requiring assistance within the classroom and school activities
• Collaborate closely with teachers and educational staff to deliver individualized instructional support
• Assist in implementing lesson plans and adapting materials for students with special needs
• Support students in developing social, academic, and communication skills
• Monitor and document student progress to ensure educational goals are being met
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold a positive, professional standard in all interactions
