Law office experience is preferred, but candidates who lack experience will be considered if they possess the ability to develop skills and knowledge quickly. Pay will be discussed during the interview process. 

Responsibilities based upon prior experience or upon training:

• Schedule and calendar filing deadlines, depositions, mediations, and hearings in both paper and electronically, including reminders.
• Managing schedule for attorney, including keeping track of travel and logistics associated with out-of-town depositions, meetings, and appointments.
• Prepare discovery responses for review by attorneys, including meeting with clients and obtaining information, documents, and other responsive items; be able to review and summarize discovery documents.
• Maintaining an electronic file management system, including filing all pleadings, correspondence, emails, memoranda, or any other documents or data associated with files.
• Obtain and summarize medical records and complete medical chronology transcripts.
• Draft correspondences.
• Prepare briefing notebooks, exhibit binders, and trial notebooks.
• E-Filing: federal and state.
• Public domain research.
• Submit payment requests for case invoices.
• Knowledge of local rules and civil procedure regarding page limitations, timing of deadlines, etc.
• Communicate with courts, clients, opposing counsel, fact witnesses, and expert witnesses.
• Ensure timely client follow-up communications and manage client interfacing.
• Attention to detail and conscientious task management required.
• Manage a heavy caseload.
