Work Environment

As a full-time Physical Therapist, you will work onsite at our dedicated rehabilitation facility, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team that includes occupational therapists, rehabilitation technicians, and administrative staff. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, incorporating their medical history and specific assessments to formulate personalized treatment plans.
• Effectively communicate evaluation results and treatment strategies to both patients and their families, ensuring that they are actively involved in the goal-setting process.
• Implement and adjust treatment protocols based on each patient's needs and progress, utilizing various therapeutic modalities and techniques to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide a comprehensive approach to patient care, documenting any changes in patients' conditions that may require modifications to treatment plans.
• Manage patient discharge planning, ensuring seamless transitions to home care or other levels of service, and accurately document treatment sessions to maintain clear and compliant records.
• Demonstrate excellent time management and productivity by adhering to scheduled appointments and participating in marketing activities to promote our services.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of departmental goals, ensuring compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by attending workshops and training, while also mentoring students and less experienced staff members.
• Enhance patient experience by exhibiting a flexible attitude and promptly addressing access-related challenges that may affect care delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist at Blooms Physical Therapy will work with a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from surgeries, injuries, neurological conditions, chronic pain, and orthopedic issues. Our goal is to not only help each individual regain their strength and functionality but also to educate them about their conditions and empower them to take charge of their health.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field is required.
• A valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia is necessary for practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for effective patient and team interactions.
• A commitment to the principles of evidence-based practice and ongoing learning.

Preferred Experience

• While a minimum of 2 years of experience in a rehabilitation or clinical setting is preferable, new graduates are also encouraged to apply if they demonstrate strong clinical aptitude and a commitment to learning.

Compensation and Benefits
