As the Senior Database Analyst, you will support Oracle databases to ensure data integrity, security, and stability.

Selected resource MUST come onsite the first week for onboarding. This is not reimbursable by the client. Please confirm the resource understands this requirement.

This position is needed to maintain minimum staffing needs of the Oracle Database Services team. The IOT Oracle team manages the data for the majority of the State’s agency applications. DOR, DWD and DOT are just some of the agencies that have systems which are dependent upon this team for the maintenance of their back-end data. Agency applications are dependent upon timely response to accurate and secure data. Successful candidates will have extensive experience with the latest releases of Oracle RDBMS and be proficient with Oracle - both in Standalone and RAC clustered environments.

The candidate should be a self-starter, have excellent communication skills and work seamlessly in a team environment as well as independently.

As the Database Analyst Senior, you will support Oracle databases to ensure data integrity, security, and stability. In this position, you will be responsible to provide adequate computer resources and up-to-date software environment to our various customers. This position will be responsible for monitoring and tuning database performance. It ensures that data is appropriately protected via database backup and related strategies. The position loads, or assists in loading of, database software, upgrade and patching. This position will assist with the evaluation and selection of infrastructure components and provide operational support for the database, ensuring data integrity, database availability, and performance. The Senior Database Analyst is needed to provide the degree of support that our agency customers currently expect and to meet their future needs.

The essential elements of the job duties:

Develop and advise on standards, guidelines, policies, and procedures designed to ensure the integrity of the database environment.

Evaluate technology and products to determine the feasibility of adding to agency standards.

Develop work plans for assigned projects and manage the execution.

Design and implement logical and physical databases of a moderately to large complex nature.

Determine aggregation, partitioning and indexing strategies for physical data.

Monitor and tune database performance, including SQL scripts, hints, execution plans, and materialized views.

Administer end-user access and security at the database level.

Ensure that data is appropriately protected via database backup and related strategies.

Strong experience working with Oracle versions 11gR1/2, 12c and 19c in a Windows and / or Linux environment Required

8 Years Extensive work experience with Oracle Database version 19c Required

Good observational and analytical skills to help identify and resolve issues with the systems and deployments before and after they occur Required

Oracle DBA Experience with strong understanding of database architecture and performance tuning Required

Experience with Backup and Recovery using Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) Required

Experience with Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Automatic Storage Management (ASM), Active Data Guard Required

Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and Golden Gate replication Required

Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware, Citrix, App-V and Terminal Services Required

Self-starter, have excellent communication skills and work seamlessly in a team environment as well as independently Required

Expert experience administering various multi-Terabyte, 24x7 uptime Oracle databases as a Systems/Infrastructure Database Administrator Required

Experience with Oracle Data Modeling and database design Required

Experience with performing and deployment of database code objects to Test and Production databases and troubleshooting issues Required

Ability to manage database security, users, groups, roles, and permissions Required

Extensive knowledge in software and utilities related to supported DBMS such as Reorg, Backup, Recovery, Load and Unload Required

Extensive knowledge of relational database and data warehouse design techniques and dimensional modeling processes Required

Extensive knowledge of capacity planning and disaster recovery Required

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university with a major in computer sciences or management information systems or equivalent work exp. Required
