Medical Laboratory Scientist *Temporary*- Providence Kodiak Island

Description We’re hiring for a Medical Laboratory Scientist position at Providence Kodiak Alaska Medical Center in Kodiak, AK. The position is full‑time, 0.9 FTE, with 12‑hour variable shifts, totaling 36 hours per week. Applicants meeting the qualifications will receive an invite with additional screening questions from our HireVue system. The Medical Technologist conducts clinical diagnostic testing on inpatients, outpatients, and residents, including blood draws and specimen collections for processing. The role performs therapeutic phlebotomy, conducts quality control procedures on patient tests and laboratory equipment to ensure accurate diagnostic testing, and reports patient data to the medical record and/or medical staff when results warrant direct contact. Required Qualifications Education that meets certification, license or registration requirements. Within 1 year of hire: National Medical Laboratory Scientist – American Society for Clinical Pathology. Within 1 year of hire: National Clinical Laboratory Scientist – American Society for Clinical Pathology. Within 1 year of hire: National Medical Technologist – American Medical Technologists. Within 1 year of hire: National Medical Technologist – American Society for Clinical Pathology. Within 1 year of hire: National Medical Technologist – American Association of Bioanalysts. Preferred Qualifications 2 years of work experience in a clinical laboratory. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonuses. Pay Range Base pay range: $37.08 – $55.62 per hour.
