Key Responsibilities\n

• Serve as a primary point of contact for families, ensuring open and proactive communication throughout the therapeutic process.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapies in alignment with Positive Progress Counseling Center's clinical models, specifically the Attachment-Based Family Therapy framework.
\n
• Conduct Family Orientations, Welcome Presentations, and Family Support Groups to integrate families into the treatment process.
\n
• Timely and accurately complete essential documentation including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, adhering to established clinical standards.
\n
• Utilize Microsoft Word, Outlook (for email and calendar management), Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, and online learning tools to manage information efficiently.
\n
• Participate in weekly treatment team meetings, clinical supervision, and staff meetings to discuss case management and team strategies.
\n
• Represent Positive Progress Counseling Center at meetings, training sessions, and conferences as necessary to enhance professional development.
\n
• Independently manage a schedule to ensure that individual and team objectives are achieved effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is on adolescents and young adults facing various challenges, including mental health issues, substance abuse, trauma, and family dynamics. You will be tasked with creating an empathetic and supportive space where clients can explore their concerns and work through their challenges, ultimately leading to more sustainable healing and family cohesion.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.

• Current state licensure as a therapist (e.g., LMFT, LCSW) is necessary for practice in New York.

• Experience in conducting individual, group, or family therapy specifically with adolescents and young adults is essential.

Preferred Experience\n
