Registered Nurse, Adult Emergency Department, 36 Hours (Days/ Evenings / Rotating Weekends)

Position Summary As a Registered Nurse in the Adult Emergency Department, you will play an integral role in delivering quality, patient‑centered care within a level‑one trauma and comprehensive stroke center. Job Responsibilities Deliver nursing care in the Adult Emergency Department, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and education of patients. Communicate effectively with health‑care team members, patients, and their families. Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient‑care activities to inter‑professional colleagues. Update and manage patient records and enter and interpret computerized data. Follow BMC nursing guidelines and policies. Assist leadership with quality‑improvement projects as needed. Job Requirements Licensed as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. 1+ year of RN experience preferred. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for certain units. Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN, or BSN (preferred). Ability to obtain a BSN within 4 years. Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty; certifications required for certain practice areas. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
