Associate Attorney

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated legal professional with some litigation background to contribute to our firm's continued success. The successful candidate will handle a diverse caseload, work closely with partners and clients, and develop their legal skills in a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities Manage litigation matters from intake through trial or settlement, including case analysis, legal research, and strategy development Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other litigation documents Conduct depositions, take testimony, and manage witnesses Perform legal research using online legal databases and other resources Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status, strategy, and outcomes Participate in discovery negotiations and settlement discussions Prepare for and attend court hearings, trials, and appellate proceedings Collaborate with attorneys and staff on complex matters Maintain accurate case files, timekeeping records, and billing information Experience Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Active license to practice law in Washington State Minimum 2 years of litigation experience in a law firm or corporate legal department Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills Experience with discovery, depositions, and motion practice Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously Professional judgment and attention to detail Strong work ethic and commitment to client service Preferred Qualifications Trial experience or experience preparing for trial Experience with alternative dispute resolution (mediation, arbitration) Familiarity with litigation management software and legal research platforms Strong client relationship and business development skills Previous experience in a small firm environment What We Offer Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 depending on experience Bonus Paid Parking Health Insurance Stipend Retirement plan with employer match Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays Continuing legal education (CLE) support and professional development opportunities Flexible work arrangements Collegial work environment with emphasis on work-life balance #J-18808-Ljbffr
