Sales Director

Govig Healthcare Group , the premier executive search firm specializing in the Senior Housing industry, is seeking an experienced Director of Sales for a luxury senior living community in the Santa Clara, CA market . This is an exciting opportunity for a proven senior living sales leader to join a community in an active stage of growth. We are looking for someone who knows how to drive occupancy, generate new business, and lead a high-performing sales effort. The ideal candidate is a goal-oriented, hands-on sales leader who thrives in a growth and lease-up environment. This person will be expected to personally drive sales activity while also bringing structure, accountability, and leadership to the overall sales process. Key Responsibilities Lead the community's sales efforts with a focus on driving occupancy and achieving established sales goals. Generate new business through proactive outreach, relationship development, networking, and lead generation. Manage the full sales cycle from initial inquiry and discovery through follow-up, decision-making, and close. Build strong relationships with prospective residents, families, referral sources, and professional partners throughout the local market. Maintain consistent sales activity and disciplined follow-up across the prospect pipeline. Provide leadership, coaching, direction, and accountability to the sales team. Develop strategies to increase market awareness and create new referral and prospect opportunities. Monitor sales performance and pipeline activity to ensure progress toward occupancy goals. Partner closely with community leadership and other department heads to create an exceptional prospect and resident experience. Represent the community through professional networking, community involvement, events, and local outreach. What We're Looking For Senior living sales experience strongly preferred. Proven track record of driving occupancy growth and sales results within senior living. Experience working in a lease-up, growth, or occupancy-building environment is highly desirable. Strong understanding of the senior living sales cycle, including discovery, relationship building, follow-up, outreach, and closing. A proactive sales mentality with the ability to create opportunities rather than relying solely on inbound leads. Demonstrated ability to work toward defined sales goals and thrive in an accountable, performance-driven environment. Experience leading, coaching, and creating structure for a sales team while remaining actively involved in the sales process. Strong organizational, pipeline management, and follow-through skills. Confident relationship builder with strong communication, presentation, and closing abilities.
