Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Tue 10:15 AM - 05:15 PM Thur 10:15 AM - 05:15 PM Sat 10:15 AM - 05:15 PM Sun 10:15 AM - 05:15 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, staff, researchers, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a cultural institution setting. Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with the protection of collections, exhibits, reading rooms, and other sensitive areas. Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout public galleries, collection areas, offices, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location. Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements. Minimum Requirements: A guard card or license is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
