Summary: We are seeking a motivated Finance & Accounting Intern to support our operations and administrative functions. This hands-on internship provides an opportunity to gain real-world experience in a professional finance environment, working alongside experienced staff on meaningful projects that contribute directly to the organization's financial operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, including invoice review and data entry
• Support the period-close process by preparing journal entries, reconciliations, financial statement analysis, and other reports
• Prepare routine financial reports, spreadsheets, and summaries for management review
• Help prepare monthly bank reconciliations by comparing bank statements with internal financial records
• Maintain and organize tax and financial records, files, and documentation in compliance with internal policies
• Assist with maintaining fixed asset records including additions, retirements, and book depreciation schedules across multiple entities
• Perform other administrative and operational tasks to support the finance team

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Completion of at least one year of coursework in accounting or finance preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic formulas); experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) is a plus
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle confidential information
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• GPA of 3.0 or above preferred
