Work Environment\n

This position allows for flexible remote work. You will conduct virtual counseling sessions using our secure telehealth platform, gaining the advantage of connecting with clients in an environment where they feel most comfortable. Our standard operating hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, promoting a healthy work-life balance for our staff.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform comprehensive mental health assessments for elderly clients to understand their unique challenges and develop tailored care plans.

• Provide both individual and group therapy sessions to support seniors facing emotional difficulties related to aging, including anxiety and depression.

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to improve the overall quality of care and therapeutic outcomes for our geriatric clients.

• Educate families and staff on effective techniques for enhancing emotional health and quality of life for older adults.
\n
• Facilitate grief and loss counseling sessions for residents and their families experiencing end-of-life issues.
\n
• Design and implement cognitive stimulation interventions to keep elderly clients engaged and mentally active.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on elderly individuals, many of whom may be dealing with complex emotional responses to health changes, loss of loved ones, or significant life adjustments. You will play a crucial role in providing empathetic support, understanding their backgrounds and cultural contexts to provide the best possible care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Washington state.

• At least four years of relevant experience in geriatric mental health counseling or related fields.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to engage effectively with elderly clients and their families.

Compensation and Benefits\n
