About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to spearhead the financial strategy and infrastructure essential for its continued multi-state expansion. The CFO will be a strategic leader, responsible for designing and leading the organization's financial strategy and regulatory framework. This role demands a systems-level leader with a proven track record in building and managing high-performing finance teams, particularly in high-growth, multi-state environments. The CFO will oversee financial planning, compliance, reporting, and cash management, ensuring that strong financial systems support sustainable academic growth and institutional integrity. Key responsibilities include leading financial planning for expansion, maintaining financial compliance across different state regulatory environments, and finalizing and implementing procurement systems and processes. The ideal candidate for the CFO position at the company will have a minimum of 10 years' progressive finance and accounting experience, with a Bachelor's degree required and a preference for an advanced degree and CPA certification. The CFO must demonstrate a strong executive presence, the ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly, and a commitment to the values of integrity, transparency, and accountability in financial leadership. Experience in charter schools, Charter Management Organizations (CMOs), or expanding school networks is highly preferred. The successful candidate will be a resilient, adaptable, and solutions-oriented leader, deeply aligned with the mission of the organization and committed to serving historically underserved communities, particularly Black and Brown students and families.
