Service Engineer

Join Our Client as a Service Engineer in Austin, TX a medical tech leader redefining patient care! Bring your Engineering B.S., 1-3 years of electromechanical service experience, and FDA/ISO knowledge to a dynamic team innovating surgical robotics.

location: Austin, Texas

salary: $33 - 40 per hour
work hours: 8am to 5pm
education: Bachelors

responsibilities:

Define and enforce Design for Serviceability (DfS) requirements by collaborating with engineers to build service-friendly robotic architectures with modular assemblies and built-in diagnostics.
Develop efficient field service workflows, preventive maintenance schedules, and digital troubleshooting guides to minimize disruption during surgical procedures.
Ensure all service processes and documentation strictly comply with FDA 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, and IEC 60601 regulatory standards.
Capture field feedback to optimize service design and partner with training teams to build competency-based learning paths for OR technicians.
Conduct serviceability FMEAs, execute verification protocols, and leverage post-market surveillance data to drive continuous product reliability.
