Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg/Tele

Job Details:

• Evening/Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend and holiday rotations based on operational need
• Two weekends per six-week schedule period, with option for more weekends if desired
• Travelers are required to float as needed
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years required
• Travel experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Wisconsin RN or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required - AHA only
• Must pass a Telemetry exam prior to start with strict passing criteria:
- Adult Exam: 100% identification of lethal rhythms (ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole), no incorrect answers on 3rd degree heart block questions, passing score of 80% or higher
- Pediatric Exam: Identification of ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole, and sinus bradycardia, passing score of 80% or higher
- Traveler has two attempts to pass; a third attempt requires submission of a cardiac interpretation review course certificate of completion
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Required skills include blood product administration, telemetry monitoring, IV insulin protocols, interpretation of dysrhythmias, central line blood draw, PICC line management, wound care/wound vac, tracheostomy care/management, and other med/surg and telemetry competencies
