Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg/Tele - FLOAT

Job Details:

• Evening and night shifts, 12-hour shifts between 7:00 PM and 7:30 AM
• Will accept 4x12 shift schedules
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Holidays as applicable to operations
• Float across multiple Med/Surg units including cardiac, spine, and neuro units
• Willing to float to neuro and oncology units (hard stop)
• Patient ratios: 4 patients on days, 5 patients on nights and weekends
• Must have experience working in different Med/Surg units including cardiac, spine, and neuro
• Must have Basic Arrhythmia experience
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty required
• Travel experience required
• Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Wisconsin RN or compact license required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Must pass telemetry exam prior to start with a score of 80% or higher
• Traveler will have two attempts to pass the telemetry exam; a third attempt requires submission of a cardiac interpretation review course completion certificate
• Telemetry exam requires 100% identification of lethal rhythms including ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, and asystole
• No incorrect answers permitted on questions regarding 3rd degree heart blocks
• Skills required include cardiac telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac, and more
• Provide high-quality, evidence-based care utilizing critical thinking skills to evaluate and assess patients
• Partner with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, therapists, advanced practice providers, and medical teams
• Locals within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
